  • How to Use the Chart The Open Raise row is used if action folds to you and the pot has not been raised. The 4-bet and Call 3-Bet rows are used if you have open raised and been 3-bet. If you do not have a hand that falls into the ranges listed, you fold. The 3-bet and Call Raise rows are used if an opponent open-raises from EP or MP.
  • The chart below indicates the preflop equities of various matchups of poker hands when two players see a flop heads-up in Texas Hold’em poker. Regarding preflop equities and the chart above, a few interesting things to note, include the following: No hand ever has 0% equity before a flop is dealt.

Every hand on the chart that is marked yellow should be open-raised to optimally 2-3 big blinds.

The hands in the “small blind pre-flop chart” that are green, you should limp, and the hands that are marked red, you should open-raise. Use an open-raise size of 2.5-4.5 big blinds depending on your stack-size in the small blind.
